Board succession
The succession process promotes continuity and long-term stewardship. Directors are appointed by the Minister responsible for Social Security under Section 3 of the NSSF Act Cap 230 and, except for the two Government representatives, serve three-year terms renewable once. The Chairperson engages the Minister at least six months before terms expire to facilitate appointment or reappointment, supporting continuity while allowing periodic renewal.
