Driving inclusive growth through procurement

Our procurement approach reflects the Fund's theme, "We Believe in YOU: A Shared Journey to Inclusive Sustainable Wellbeing," by building trusted supplier relationships that create shared value. This commitment is reflected in the zero administrative reviews and a 5% growth in local enterprise participation. As procurement continues to evolve from a transactional function to a strategic enabler, we remain committed to collaborating with vendors to strengthen supply chains, support local enterprise development, and to deliver sustainable impact.

This commitment was exemplified through the 10th Supplier Forum, held under the theme "Powered by Diversity and Driven by Shared Growth." The event attracted 193 in-person participants and 7,074 live and on-demand viewers, achieving an outstanding 99% satisfaction rating. Two supplier cohorts (in the forum) focused on service delivery and bid preparation, further strengthened collaboration by enabling deeper dialogue, identifying opportunities for improvement, and encouraging shared learning and innovation.

These engagements contributed to strong stakeholder confidence, with procurement services receiving a 78% satisfaction rating from internal users, while employee engagement within the Procurement and Disposal Department reached 87%.

Disposal proceeds

The Fund continued to strengthen responsible procurement and strategic sourcing practices, achieving 90% procurement efficiency and 100% procurement compliance, alongside 91% Internal Audit and 93.5% Enterprise Risk Management compliance.

Strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and market intelligence generated UGX 3.9 billion in savings, while disposal activities realised UGX 333 million in proceeds.

These results demonstrate the Fund's disciplined approach to governance, transparency, accountability, and prudent resource stewardship, safeguarding member value while supporting operational resilience and long-term sustainability.

The Fund continued to invest in strategic projects that enhance operational capacity, accelerate digital transformation, and improve service delivery while creating long-term value for members. Key projects undertaken during the year included:
