Shared value through contribution protection

Creating shared value is not limited to building something new; it can also mean protecting value that members are already owed.

Over an eight-week Employer Amnesty Campaign, we recovered UGX 89 billion in contribution arrears from 11,427 businesses nearly three times our UGX 30 billion target, by giving defaulting employers a path back to compliance rather than relying on enforcement alone.

Every shilling recovered strengthened both the Fund’s balance sheet and a worker’s retirement, demonstrating that protecting the Fund and protecting the member can, in the right circumstances, be the same act.
