4. Governance and stewardship
We protect
what matters
Why this matters for long-term value creation
Trust is the foundation of NSSF's long-term success. Every contribution entrusted to the Fund represents a member's future aspirations, placing a responsibility on NSSF to protect those savings through sound governance, disciplined stewardship, and accountable decision-making.
As the Fund advances its Vision 2035 ambitions and expands its contribution to Uganda's socioeconomic development, governance becomes increasingly important in ensuring that growth remains responsible, risks are effectively managed and stakeholder interests remain protected. Strong governance enables informed decision-making, protects members' assets and personal information, strengthens organisational resilience, and reinforces confidence in the Fund.
Governance at NSSF extends beyond compliance. Through effective governance, risk management and assurance, NSSF not only protects what matters, but also provides the insight and foresight needed to make better decisions, strengthen resilience, and create sustainable long-term value.
