The International Electronic Documents and Records Management Workshop was held from 23-25 July 2025. Convened by NSSF, the workshop brought together Records and Information Management, IT, HR, and Administration professionals at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, Kampala, Uganda under the theme “Go Paperless: Boosting Productivity and Efficiency with Electronic Records.”

Participants were empowered with cutting-edge strategies and hands-on skills to harness digital platforms for efficient document storage, seamless organisation, and rapid retrieval, advancing their institutions’ journey toward full digital transformation.

The workshop featured a distinguished line-up of presenters and facilitators, bringing together seasoned practitioners from NSSF, CPF Financial Services (Kenya), COPINAR (Kenya), and Artis Limited (Israel), alongside a special international guest (Jody Butterworth-Lead Curator for the Endangered Archives Programme) from the British Library (United Kingdom). This diverse expertise enriched the sessions with global perspectives, practical insights, and cross-border best practices.
The combined impact of strategic communications, technological innovation, and collaborative partnerships positioned the workshop as a highly professional, engaging, and well-received event.
The Fund plans to hold its second International EDRM Conference from 2-4 November 2026 in Kampala. The theme of this conference is “Create an Intelligent Workplace Using AI: Automate, Harness Data and Make Strategic Decisions.”
The conference will focus on how organisations can build intelligent workplaces through digital transformation, automation, Artificial Intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
