Human rights, performance and retention

Human rights and labour issues

The Fund takes a proactive approach to the identification, assessment, and management of potential human rights abuses through continuous stakeholder engagement, maintenance of appropriate governance and grievance mechanisms. Important to note is that no incidents of discrimination or human rights violations were reported during the FY2025/26.

This commitment is supported by policies including the:

  • Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy
  • Anti-Discrimination Policy

We remain committed to promoting human rights, inclusive employment practices, and a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Performance management

At the beginning of each financial year, the Fund establishes clear and measurable performance targets at organisational, departmental, and individual levels, aligned with its strategic priorities and long-term aspirations. Objectives are structured around the four Balanced Scorecard Perspectives: Customer, Financial, Internal Processes and Learning and Growth. This approach connects individual contribution to organisational performance and reinforces a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and performance excellence.

Employee retention and succession planning

The Fund’s investment in its people has contributed to a stable and experienced workforce. During the year under reporting, we recorded a decline in employee turnover at 2.2% from 4% the previous year and the average employee tenure was 9.7 years, with 69% of employees having served at the Fund for five years or more, demonstrating the retention of valuable institutional knowledge.

Succession planning remains an integral component of the Fund’s talent optimisation strategy, ensuring leadership development and business continuity across critical roles. The Fund initiatives aimed at promoting succession planning include internal secondments, job shadowing, and the Pathfinder Leadership Programme, providing opportunities for career growth. By prioritising talent retention, leadership development and succession readiness, the Fund is strengthening its leadership pipeline and safeguarding critical institutional knowledge.
